This Memorial Day, we come together to honor the brave men and women who gave everything. Our Ames Student Council and scouts led a beautiful flag raising ceremony on Friday in honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸

2nd graders learned all about trees, seed dispersal, and animal habitats on their field trip to Morton Arboretum last week! 🌳

The fifth graders in Mrs. Seymour and Mr. Becker’s classes wrapped up our Global Architecture Unit by presenting their research projects! 🏛️🌍
Each student selected an architect and one of their buildings to research. They conducted research, composed essays, cited sources, and created a visual presentation to showcase their learning. Students had the freedom to choose how they wanted to present their visuals — including models, posters, slideshows, videos, blueprints, and more!
Other classes were invited to attend the Architectural Fair, where students proudly presented their projects and shared everything they learned. We are so proud of all of their hard work, creativity, and presentation skills!
