Congratulations to our Ames Dolphins for beating their September Make a Splash goal of 125 tickets and earning a “Get Your Shine On” party! We’ll celebrate with flashlight learning and extra time in the sunshine tomorrow, October 2nd. The following classes earned the highest number of tickets in their grade levels! Students gathered together for our monthly Dive Into the Day assembly to review the September SEL skills of respect and teamwork, and to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! 🐬

Early Learners have Art with Miss Doody for the first time ever this year! They've been working on an “Art Class and Me” unit (Welcome to Art Class, Art Tool Explorers, and most recently Lines That Move). We're excited to see what our youngest artists create this year! 🖼️ 🎨

Our very own Miss Egeberg is running in the Berlin marathon this weekend!! Way to be a role model of perseverance and determination for our Dolphins! We're cheering for you every step of the way, Miss Egeberg! 💪 🏃‍♀️

Mrs. Spitalli and Mrs. Maywood partnered together to teach 3rd graders about Hispanic Heritage Month!

Teamwork makes the dream work! 2nd and 5th grade buddies from Mrs. Collins and Mr. Becker's classes got together to write recipes for teamwork. Students love spending time with their buddies putting SEL skills into practice!

💙 Buddy Time! 💙 Our fifth graders and second graders had their first Buddy meeting of the year! They spent time getting to know one another through a fun “Find Someone Who” activity and started building some special connections. We’re looking forward to all the fun and learning our Buddy pairs will share this year! 🥰📚

Our students have been learning all about the Dolphin Way through expectation stations and our monthly SEL assembly! Ask your child how they are respectful, responsible, and safe at school. 🐬

Thank you to the Ames PTA for planning such an exciting and inspirational back-to-school assembly for our Ames Dolphins!
