Ames Dolphins reviewed everything they've learned about Emotion Management during this month's SEL assembly! 3rd graders shared strategies for managing strong emotions, and 5th graders helped us identify emotions during a game of emotion charades. Next month we'll learn all about INTEGRITY!🐬

Ames Dolphins gathered for our Growth Mindset SEL assembly yesterday. 2nd grade students shared examples of growth mindset versus fixed mindset statements, and teams of students across all grade levels worked together with a growth mindset in the mummy wrap challenge! #amesdolphins 🐬
Ames Dolphins have been making a SPLASH this month! 🐬 Students have been working hard to earn "Make a Splash" tickets all month long by being spotted demonstrating respectful, responsible, and safe behavior throughout the school. Congratulations to this month's grade-level winners: Mrs. DeSimone (Early learners), Miss McPherson (kdg), Mrs. Taber (1st), Miss Egeberg (2nd), Mrs. Munson (3rd), Mr. Wydra (4th), and Mrs. Seymour (5th)! The entire school beat our October goal of 200 tickets by earning 253 total tickets and earned a Monster Mash glow stick dance party! 🪩
