District Wellness Policy
Please note that per the Riverside School District 96 Parent/Student Handbook, “Parents are asked not to send cakes, cookies, toys or any type of treat on a child’s birthday or on holidays throughout the school year”. The District 96 School Discipline Code states “Candy, gum, and soda pop will not be allowed in school “.
If food is brought into our building for our students it must be pre-approved by our school nurse and vetted against our student health allergy list. Any food items brought in our school for our students must be healthy in nature and be store bought. The food must have a label on it stating its ingredients.
Homemade food items are not permitted in the school to serve to our students.
