At our all-school meeting today, our kindergarteners shared what they learned in January about being responsible! We celebrated our Responsibility Award winners and recognized students who model responsibility every day. We also introduced February’s character trait, kindness! We can’t wait to spread kindness throughout our school community all month long! 💗🐾
When it’s too cold to come to school... we bring school home! Our students stayed cozy and connected during our e-learning day on Zoom. So happy to see everyone's bright smiles from home today! ❄️💻💙

Riverside Parks & Recreation will be offering supervised childcare and eLearning support at the Quincy Street Community Center (43 E. Quincy) for $38 from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM. Before and after care can be added for an additional fee. Participants can register online or onsite.
After school activities on Thursday, January 22 will continue as scheduled. Friday, January 23 before and after school activities are canceled.

Our first graders had so much fun making gingerbread houses as they “traveled” to Germany for Holidays Around the World! We wish we were at school today building gingerbread houses with our friends! 🎄🍪

The Cardio Kids ran their annual Cocoa Run today! They enjoyed a winter stroll to holiday music and wrapped up with hot cocoa and cookies! Such a fun and festive way to end the season!! ❄️☕️
In November, our Blythe students proudly presented to the Board of Education about our lead data goals in math! They shared how we use math tools, solve word problems, explain our thinking, and so much more. We are working hard toward our math goals at Blythe! We had such a special visit today from award-winning illustrator Jacqueline Alcántara! Can you guess where she grew up?.. Riverside!!

Today our whole school came together to celebrate our Emotional Management award winners! Our 3rd graders did an amazing job sharing strategies and tools to help us handle big feelings. We also introduced our December theme… Integrity! 🌟
Mrs. Allen and our 5th graders harvested fresh lettuce from our hydroponics stations this week! They put together delicious salads to share with the whole school. So fresh and so yummy! Thank you, Mrs. Allen!! 🥗
