Writing

____ Story Sequence: “A Simple Life” (pages 17-23)

The children will create a sequence of events writing piece.  This sequence will come from the section called A Simple Life found on pages 17-23.

Math

____ Shapes:

Today we’re continuing our work on plane shapes.   This is still the lesson on pages 287-289 in your hardcover textbook, you can review plane shapes on these pages if you’d like to.  Begin today by using the page titled: Find Plane Shapes All Around You. Then look at page 292 in your hardcover textbook. If you are using your textbook, you are only doing 1a & 1b in the Hands-On Activity. Use the  triangles included in your packet for this. This is also in your packet- you will only see part of the page, just 1a & 1b. Our last activity today is a sidewalk chalk challenge: Plane Figures Sidewalk Chalk Challenge.  If you don’t have sidewalk chalk, that’s okay- use pencil, crayons, markers or colored pencils.

Social Studies

____ Read the NewsELA article “From Seed to Fruit”.  Then do the 4 questions at the 

bottom of the article.
